Enchanted Cabaret: A Fantasy NYE Event in Charlotte, NC

Looking for something to do in Charlotte this New Year's Eve? Lean in, darling, because we've got just the party for you. (And to anyone who says Charlotte doesn't have enough culture: clearly you've never seen a room full of fantasy book nerds tear up a dance floor. We read about balls all year. We are READY.)
Enchanted Cabaret: A Fantasy NYE Revue is a true cabaret speakeasy party with a magical twist. Like Gatsby, if he'd invited a few high fae to one of his legendary parties. The sparkle of burlesque meets the creativity of our favorite bookish cosplays, and it all ends with a champagne toast at midnight.
This is our third and final event of 2026, and I am SO excited to close out the year with it. We saved our loudest, most dazzling party for last!

If you're new here, welcome!
For those who haven't been to a Booked & Bewitched event yet: the whole point of what we do is getting to step into another time and realm for a night. So yes, this is a costumed, dress-code party, and honestly, the costumes are half the fun.
For Enchanted Cabaret, we want to see:
Formal 1920s flappers (fringe, beads, rhinestones, feathered headpieces, ostrich feather fans, all of it)
Gangsters and revelers from another time, whether that's a full Gatsby tux or a Peaky Blinders-style three-piece with a flat cap
Your fantasy and bookish takes on burlesque and cabaret. Fairy wings with your fringe? A siren in sequins? Your favorite character dressed up for a night at the speakeasy? Yes, please!
Lean into it as much as you want. There is no such thing as too many feathers. (Your Uber's backseat may disagree.)
The Long Room CLT is the NYE venue of our dreams
The Long Room is located near Uptown Charlotte and has total speakeasy vibes: exposed brick, warm low light, theatrical lighting and sound, and two levels so everyone gets great views of the performances. Our VIPs get the entire upstairs to themselves, private bar included. (Yes, I'm a little jealous of them too.)

And because we can't throw a party without our Vendor Village, we're tenting and heating the outdoor patio so we can bring it back! Come shop your favorite authors and bookish small businesses between sets.
This space will feel like the secret throwback party from another era that you've always dreamed of being invited to.
What we have planned for the night
We've got some fun (and a little spicy!) burlesque and cabaret performances lined up this time, and I can't wait for you to see them.
Our bar will have an amazing menu of curated cocktails, so grab a drink and settle in.
Now let's talk about the music, because I LOVE live music. I have always dreamt of hiring a big band with a real brass section, and this New Year's Eve it's finally happening. Get ready for trumpets, y'all! (Sorry in advance to the neighbors.) There is nothing like that first blast of brass to make you feel like you've stepped right into the 1920s.
Our VIPs will also be serenaded upstairs with a private performance by a jazz vocalist, just for them.
Later in the night, our DJ takes over to get everyone on the dance floor and ring in the new year. And of course, we'll toast to 2027 with champagne at midnight.

Frequently asked questions
What is there to do in Charlotte on New Year's Eve? So much! But if you want something a little more magical than a bar countdown, Enchanted Cabaret is a themed, costumed NYE party with burlesque, live music, a DJ and a champagne toast, with just 125 guests.
Is there a dress code? Yes! It's a costumed party: formal 1920s flappers, Gatsby wannabes, and gangsters, or your own fantasy and bookish spin on burlesque and cabaret.
Do I have to be into fantasy books to come? Nope! If you love jazz, glamour and a good party, you'll fit right in. We may try to recruit you into our book club, but that's a risk you'll have to take.
See you on the dance floor
It's been such a magical year, and I can't think of a better way to end it than with all of you, dressed to the nines with champagne in hand.
Just 125 guests will make it past the bouncer this New Year's Eve, so don't wait too long! Grab your Enchanted Cabaret tickets here and let's ring in 2027 together.
